Chiropractic practices and procedures are perhaps not as well-known as they should be and so often chiropractic clinics have to rely on patients being sent to them by family doctors but if the treatments that chiropractic can offer were better known, the clinics would receive patients of their own.
It is therefore necessary in order for a clinic to thrive, that the clinic promotes its own services and the general well-being chiropractic services can assist with. Although all of these services may already be posted on the clinic’s official website, perhaps that website is not visited by anyone other than those people that are already the clinic’s patients therefore the site may need to be publicized more.
Either way the services offered by the clinic have to be seen or heard about by more people if it is to remain viable by continually receiving new patients. One of the ways of doing this, if the relevant information is already on the clinic’s website, is to have that website feature on the social media pages where it will hopefully attract friends who are not already patients. As visitors to the social media site read all the information on the site, they get an insight as to why they should visit the clinic and thereby become new patients.
You can also attract new people to your website by using SEO (Search Engine Optimization) which are a set of strategies specifically designed to attract more visitors to websites. One of the strategies used in SEO is the use of keywords in articles on your site. Basically the keywords attract the search engine’s attention to your website and as its attention has been drawn to it, it places your website at the top of any search listing results.
Although your site would have featured on the list of results even without the use of keywords, it may have been listed on the third page which is rarely looked at by the search initiators whereas with the keywords it will almost certainly appear near the top of the first page, if not at the top of that page where it will be seen by all the search initiators. Another SEO strategy is back linking and this where a link to your site is placed on another, more popular site. For any of these strategies to work though you must first have a website.
If you would prefer to try and attract new patients without using the internet you may want to try either a referral program or a chiropractic wellness event. With a referral program you offer patients a discount if they refer you to others and if they do and it results in you receiving a new client, the patients both old and new, receive discounts.
This is easy to keep track of if you use referral cards which you disperse among your current patients. A wellness event is where you invite people to come and have free refreshments and whilst they are enjoying those refreshments, you give a presentation on the importance of chiropractic to overall wellness.
